Start of research
Tomo begins researching paint protection coatings for the automotive industry, which leads to the development of first coatings, that would later become Modesta.
2007
Tomos & Akihiros Treffen
The later founders of Modesta - Akihiro Shynmio and Tomo Kashino - meet for the first time in Japan to discuss business opportunities.
2008
Erstes Aufbereitungsstudio in Australien
Tomo opens his first detailing shop on the Gold Coast, Australia, to test paint coatings under real life conditions.
2009
Gründung der Modesta Co. Ltd.
The head company of the Modesta group is officially incorporated in Takamatsu, Japan and soon starts to operate in coating manufacture.

The Modesta BC-01 coating is released. It is the first product offered under the Modesta brand, and is still available on the market until today.

Soon the second coating of our line up - Modesta BC-02 - is released. It marks the first Modesta coating that includes titanium. Same as BC-01, it is still available today.

After years of research, the Modesta BC-03 coating is released. The chemical substance of this coating shall become a staple that Modesta will build its global expansion on.

Our marketing director Michal joins Tomo and Akihiro to support international expansion and soon becomes a partner at the company.

PlusCon 2013 Bratislava
The very first PlusCon conference is held at Modesta Europe headquarters in Bratislava, Slovakia. It marks a new approach to seminars in the detailing industry that other manufacturers would follow.

Die 2. PlusCon fand in den USA statt. Genauer gesagt in Washington D.C. Es war auch die erste PlusCon auf dem nordamerikanischen Kontinent.

Veröffentlichung von LPS
Modesta veröffentlichte das komplexe und einzigartige Lederschutzkonzept, welches aus zwei Lederbehandlungen besteht. Das LPS-01 besteht aus einer Schutzbarriere für das Leder, wobei das LPS-02 dafür sorgt, die Abnutzung zu verringern.

Erweiterung in den mittleren Osten
Modesta eröffnet die erste Franchise Aufbereitung im mittleren Osten in der der Region von Riyadh in Saudi Arabien, wodurch die langerwartete Expansion in die GCC-Länder erfolgte.

PlusCon 2016 Rotterdam
Die dritte PlusCon Konferenz fand in Holland bei Clean=Clean statt, welche den Vertrieb von Modesta in den Benelux-Ländern übernehmen. Bis dahin war es die zweite PlusCon, welche in Europa stattgefunden hat.

Wir veröffentlichen die BC-08 Neosillica Matrix Beschichtung, ein leicht zu applizierender Lackschutz deren Standzeit wir mit ca. 3 Jahren angeben. In Amerika und anderen Gebieten fand der Verkaufsstart jedoch erst ein Jahr später statt.

Modesta veröffentlichte die EPC Beschichtung für Kunststoffteile im Aussenbereich um eine optische Auffrischung zu generieren und diese für lange Zeit zu gewährleisten.

PlusCon 2018 Salt Lake City, USA
Die 4. Modesta PlusCon 2018 Konferenz fand in Nordamerika bei Luxe Automobile in Salt Lake City/USA statt. Dies war die zweite PlusCon, die auf diesem Kontinent stattfand.

Kurz nach der PlusCon 2019 Veranstaltung veröffentlichte Modesta das langerwartete EGC, eine Glasbeschichtung für den Außenbereich mit starker wasserabstoßender Wirkung
